DESIGNERS

cheryl smith - primary designer

Cheryl has been an interior designer for over 40 years. She is known for creating warm, inclusive designs and loves design and working with people.

She is NCIDQ certified and enjoys keeping current with CEU learning opportunities. Cheryl loves the construction process and working with talented crafts people to complete each design.

She has a great appreciation of many styles but always drills down to comfort and a sense of what makes it home to you.

When not working, she spends as much time as possible with Grandkids, working at the family farm, cooking, walking, travel when possible, and loves to shop for anything!

jenna nelson - designer

Jenna has a keen eye for detail, creative spirit, and easy candor. With a dedication to designing spaces reflecting one’s personality and lifestyle; her end goal for every project is to create a design that supports her clients and makes them feel truly happy.

Her journey started as a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University. After moving to Asheville, she joined CSA in 2019. She brings a different perspective to projects and loves the small details that make a project unique.

On warm weekends you can find Jenna kayaking or backpacking around Lake Keowee with her husband. Her happy place? In front of a campfire with a good book; good friends; and a glass of mellow wine.


SUPPORTING STAFF

Jayne Williamson - oFFICE Manager

Jayne brings a varied background of skills and experience to the position of Office Manager/Purchasing. Always up for a challenge, she enjoys learning about the art of interior design and the many facets of each component involved. Who knew there were so many components! 

As a support person for the team and our clients, she manages to keep things moving and on time, always with a smile! 

She and her husband sold everything in 2020 and spent two years traveling and making memories until they felt the pull to return home to the WNC area. She has too many stories to tell…but she might be persuaded over a cold beer or a long walk.

Lisa White - Finance Manager

Lisa joined CSA in 2015, where her experience in financial accounting and project management allows her to manage most anything that comes her way. Her great sense of humor comes in handy on most days. 

On her days off she is either working on a project at home or taking her Ridgebacks for a hike. Or is it the other way around? She could also be hanging your blinds or draperies, on the golf course, or boating. A native New York Italian who loves to cook she enjoys hosting friends for dinner. 

Having lived in several states with her family, the gentler climate led her to North Carolina. All the outdoor activities including mountain biking and hiking were a big draw, too!

Grace Testaverde - Librarian & pROJECT MANAGER

A great organizer and problem-solver, Grace enjoys working with the whole CSA team. Her many years in administrative assistance and being a mother of four children, has honed her skills and patience. She is adaptable to the issues that can arise before, during and after a project installation. 

In her spare time, she organizes and keeps our library of samples up to date: including fabrics, paints, wallpaper, flooring, and all accessories needed to create your perfectly decorated home. 

A native of New York City, she expanded her horizons when she moved with her family, to Western North Carolina in 2020.  Her creative interests have many outlets…from crocheting and making custom wreaths…to raising chickens.  Ask her about her flock, and she will share anecdotes about her chicks, pets or children.
